Resistor networks & arrays are series and/or parallel combinations of resistors that are formed on a printed circuit board (PCB). These networks & arrays can be made of a single resistor or can contain several resistors, connected either in series or in parallel. Resistor networks & arrays are very useful for applications that require a specific voltage and current output, such as regulated power supplies. The resistors within the networks & arrays are all arranged in a specific way so that, when combined, they act as either a voltage divider, current limiter, gain control, temperature-sensing device, etc. Depending on the application, the resistor network & array will be designed to work in conjunction with other components in order to achieve the desired output.
